LILY BERTRAND-WEBB

For our latest YOLKE girl collab we teamed up with two west London photographers and childhood friends, Lily Bertrand-Webb and Ithaka Roddan. With Ithaka behind the lens, Lily put her favourite pieces to the test whizzing around her family home on her skateboard.

Who would you love to photograph?

I have always wanted to meet Zadie Smith – an amazing and beautiful female writer. She also grew up in the same neighbourhood as me. I always felt related to her novels. My mum even goes to the same hair salon as her!

Favourite artists?

To name a few… William Eggleston’s timeless colour photographs, Mark Rothko’s big beautiful bold paintings and Georgia O’Keefe’s stunning landscapes of New Mexico.

Something you would love to do but yet to try...?

Surfing with my dad in Hawaii. One day...

Best piece of advice you've been given?

“Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it” Goethe

Top tips for a fun day in London?

Early Friday morning stroll through Portobello market followed by brunch at Lowdry + Bakery on Golborne Road. Yummy!

Last thing that made you say 'wow'?

My boyfriend’s marble sculpture pieces.

Thank you Lily!
