1.Tell us a bit about your blog ‘Brunch on Chestnut’ – why the name?
After moving to San Francisco in 2009 and getting to know the city for a couple of years, I felt so inspired by my new life so decided to launch BoC. I wanted to come up with a name that emulated a feel-good moment in everyday life, when you're in your element and feeling inspired. Throwing on a favorite outfit, meeting friends for brunch on Saturday, and catching up on life highlights and latest discoveries, was one of the first things that came to mind. Chestnut Street is one of my favorite streets in San Francisco... so Brunch on Chestnut it was!
Where is home right now?
Cow Hollow in San Francisco
Favorite travel destination so far?
I left a little piece of my heart in Paris. The charm, ivy-crawling over everything, cafés, architecture, Seine River hangs watching the sunset with cheese and wine. Speaking my language!
What’s on your list of staple items to pack when traveling?
Sleep mask, favorite denim, wrap dress, face oils/serums, laptop, and my camera.
How would you describe your style? Where / whom do you find inspiration from?
Effortless, comfortable, fun. I'm inspired by favorite designers and I love following along with NET-A-PORTER. Their editorial site is so well done and packed to the brim with inspiration.
Your job as a stylist must mean discovering cool new labels all the time – what brands are you currently obsessing over?
Stine Goya, RIXO London, Ganni, BOYY (need one of their bags)
How do you unwind when you’re offline?
I live for weekend trips to wine country and visiting our wine clubs in Napa/Sonoma. Love being surrounded by greenery, under the sun, with a glass of vino in hand. Happy place.

We love the look of your apartment! What are your favorite finds?
Thank you so much! My burl wood nightstands are new and I'm completely in love. Our vintage cane cantilever chair and our apartment wouldn't be the same without our plants! We have birds of paradise and monstera and they are my faves.
What’s in store for the future? Do you have any exciting plans coming up?
I'm heading to London next week for my first time! I've never been so really looking forward to it. I'm doing a lot more traveling and working with hotels in wine country, which I really love. I got engaged earlier this year so am in the middle of wedding planning for next summer. Lots of fun things going on.
And lastly, as we ask everyone.. what do you wear to bed?
Silk shorts and tees, sleep sets on cooler nights (...aka most nights in San Francisco...)
Thank you Ashley!
